Xuan Mai Hotel

Vietnam1This is our Hotel in HCMC. Because we wanted to spend time touring around the city and splurge more in Nha Trang the decision is to stay at Budget Hotel which is less than USD 50. After reading a very good review about Xuan Mai in Trip advisor and travelfish we went ahead and emailed Duc, the Manager.

The respond was quick within 1 day and we didnt need to give our credit card number either.  We requested a pick up as we’re arriving at night and thought Fabio would be sleepy by then so we wanted to cut short the process.

We stayed for 2 nights in deluxe (USD 37/night) and superior room (USD 29/night).  We stayed in Superior on last day because we wanted to stay for 1.5 days. The major difference is in the bathroom. Deluxe have a bathtub and a sink in the room while Superior only has a shower. Both rooms are spotless clean and have 1 queen bed and 1 smaller bed.

I was so impressed that everything was so clean and proper. TV has many cable channels, Aircon working properly, free WIFI which can be accessed from the room. Bathroom is very clean also; hot water working properly and the shower is also good.

Service is excellent and staff are very friendly. I forgot the Lady’s name; I think she is Duc’s sister. Both speak well english. The other staff who tends the reception at night doesnt speak so well; so if any questions better ask Duc or his sister.

We book Cu Chi Tunnel thru them at $5/person which is a standard rate and they pick us up from hotel.

We’re all satisfied with our choice of Hotel and will definitely come back if we visit HCMC again.
